Eligibility

• The candidate must be a citizen of India. He/she should have India as a place of birth or origin, with a Valid Passport.
• Scholarships in the first year ONLY
• The candidate must have a Degree from India
• The candidate must have a GRE/GMAT score and/or a TOEFL score.
• Candidates must be pursuing education in USA only and for MS/MBA or MS+PhD
• The candidate must have AT LEAST ONE admit letter or I-20 form from at least one university in U.S.A
• The candidate should either be in the process of Application for a VISA or must have received a VISA for Unites states of America.

Pre-requisites for getting selected:

• 90% profile completion before reaching USA and 100% profile completion within 30 days after reaching USA.

  • Service Receiver satisfaction grading. (Every volunteer session is graded by the receiver)

  • Date of application to ApGump scholarship program. 
  • Acceptance and delivery of volunteer work offered.

Note: All the above pre-requisites have points. Selection of scholarships are done based on the the top percentile scores achieved by the applicants.

Your assignment could be ranging from creating and or maintaining weblogs/journals for our organization, performing online research, providing technical assistance to staff and volunteers, and helping with online marketing and communications.

Other on-line work can involve writing grant and sponsorship proposals, refining strategic and operational plans, developing budgets and mentoring 'volunteers' in a range of activities.

You could manage our volunteers and information coming from them or going out to them, address legal and environment issues on the weblogs, networking activity, posting features of volunteers, writing for us the do’s and don’ts of volunteering in India, guideline for raising funds for your volunteer period.

Volunteer work:

• Candidates will not be required to travel anywhere.
• For delivery of volunteering services, the candidate would be expected to complete their profile. As India has a population being served by NGO's for various activities, the volunteer work could involve teaching English language, mentoring children towards simple subjects, helping solve queries, answering to questions regarding your subject which you have specialized in and various other activities.
• Candidates will use Apropos Gumption website www.Scholarship.org.in for delivery of volunteering services.
• These Services will come in the form of an offer which needs to be accepted by the candidate before accepting to volunteer.
• Offers will be made to the candidate with a Deadline to accept the offer, where candidates would have to accept or reject it before the deadline or the offer will lapse. 
• For execution of the volunteering work the candidate should be equipped with a good Web-Cam, Headphone Mic attached to computer having an internet speed of at least a 256 kbps upload and download.
• The volunteering services will involve helping / mentoring candidates across India, in college projects, counseling, teaching & training and many other such activities.

• Applicant Authentication ::
  • The application and profile updates mention requirement of scanned copies of the details provided, please ensure that you upload all the relevant documents for authentication purposes. If any extra documents are required you will contacted through email.
• Early Bird Credits :: 
  • In application selection you earn credits on early applications made, therefore its recommended to start application and profile updating as early as possible.
• Credits Lost if ::
  • Selected Candidates will receive offers for volunteering work, on the acceptance of which, they must execute the work at the time and date specified, on non execution of the volunteering work undertaken the candidate loses credits. The candidates also lose credits on unauthentic or frivolous data provided.
• Credits Earned If ::  
  • Each hour spent in volunteering will amount to credit earned. 
  • Each satisfied receiver of the services volunteered will amount to credit earned.
